This standard specifies the definitions and classification of the petroleum resources/reserves (hereinafter referred to as resources/reserves). This standard is applicable to estimation,auditing and statistics of resources/reserves,and is also applicable to the approvals of domestic concessions and development plans,transfer of mineral ownership,and the resources/reserves evaluations conducted by third parties for fund raising and financing activities during the petroleum exploration and development.
